Sharjah Police helps a girl to meet her father for the first time in her life

The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Community Protection and Protection Department, has been able to reunite a daughter of her father, who has not previously met her, since she was born more than 35 years ago, in a quick humanitarian response, which reflects the keenness of Sharjah Police to support family stability, and embody its responsibilities in addressing social cases with a human dimension.

The Director General of the General Administration for Community Protection and Protection, Brigadier Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al -Naour, pointed out that this initiative represents the role of Sharjah’s humanitarian and social police in dealing with family issues, and embodies its commitment to providing support to different groups, and contributing to restoring families and enhancing their stability, based on their vision to build a coherent society, whose members enjoy social and emotional security.

The Director of the Community Protection and Protection Department, Brigadier General Ahmed Mohamed Al -Marri, stressed that the details of the case are due to the request of an appeal from a girl residing outside the country, during which she expressed her desire to communicate with her father, who had not met since her birth, as a result of family conditions that led to the interruption of the relationship between the two parties over more than 35 years.

He added: “A working group was formed from the Family and Social Problems to follow up on the relevant details, and the team coordinated with the girl without obliging her with any procedures that may hinder the achievement of the meeting, such as insurance of the travel ticket and others, in order to facilitate its arrival and meeting with her father, and was also keen to create the reception headquarters, in the presence of a number of experts and specialists in social support, to ensure the provision of a safe environment for the two parties.”

Al -Marri pointed out that the meeting embodied the fruit of the efforts of the Sharjah Police continuous in support of family stability, and to address social issues with a social and human dimension.
