Do not allow coaches to broke up in players’ deals

The players ’agent, Walid Khalifa Al Shamsi, said that the first transfer period for players (summer transfers), which started last Saturday, and continues until the first of next October, is a golden opportunity for clubs to correct their path, and attract the best elements of the players.
He pointed out that the professional clubs’ contracts with foreign players have so far been free from the prominent deals, with the exception of the Brazilian player, Igor Coronado, considering that he is “a good player, and he has previously distinguished with Sharjah in the last period, but at the present time it is in the last stages of his giving.”
Al -Shamsi called on the clubs not to allow the coaches to brokerage in the process of selecting the players, and at the same time not to impose certain players on the coaches, stressing the importance of the clubs improving their choice of elements, especially with the increasing purchasing power in the players ’transfer market, whether local or foreigners.
Al -Shamsi added in his statements to «Emirates Today»: “The professional league clubs must take advantage of the current championships, such as the Club World Cup held in the United States, as well as the next important championship, which is the African Nations Championship for local players scheduled for next month in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.”
Al -Shamsi continued: “The African Championship for local players is an opportunity for local clubs to send specialists to contract with the best players in all centers, especially that the ticket to Tanzania back and forth does not exceed 1,000 dollars only, and clubs should not rely on videos in assessing foreign players, but rather loyal to their follow -up on the field.”
It is noteworthy that the first transfer period for local and foreign players started last Saturday, as some clubs began supporting their ranks with a number of players in preparation for the start of the new season 2025-2026.
Al -Shamsi added, “There are many options for clubs to improve the process of choosing foreign players to support their ranks.”
He believed that the good choice by the clubs for the players contributes to raising the classification of the Emirati league at the level of professional Asian leagues, instead of its current classification, stressing the importance of the UAE league obtaining an advanced classification in Asia.
Al -Shamsi asked: “How can the UAE league compete for the best classification within the Asian leagues, in light of the decline and weakness in the level of foreign players that the clubs attract, despite the huge amounts of money paid in exchange for contracting with them.”
He added, “There are players who make clubs their names through their presence in the UAE league, so I hope to see prominent players in the local league.”
He continued: “There is a foreign player without calling him, a local club contracted with him, and I was accompanied by attraction of great media propaganda, but he is in my appreciation for an ordinary player.”
Al -Shamsi pointed out that some clubs relied in their contracts on “quantity, not how”, pointing out that any club can contract with three distinguished players who make the difference, instead of contracting with seven or eight players without a technical return.
