The German Constitutional Court rejects a lawsuit over US aircraft attacks via Ramstein
& nbsp; The Federal Constitutional Court in Germany ruled today that the government has not violated international law to allow the United States to partially operate aircraft from its territory, through a satellite infrastructure stationed at the Ramstein Air Base in Rinland-Phafts in southwest of the country. & quot; Politico & quot; European- in response to a lawsuit submitted by two Yemeni citizens, their uncle, a Yemeni cleric, was killed in an American raid targeting an element of al-Qaeda in August 2012, and also resulted in the killing of another Yemeni civilian. The lawsuit, backed by the European Center for Constitutional Rights and Human Rights in Berlin, was based on the fact that Germany bears part of the responsibility for the attack by hosting it for an American military infrastructure, and called on the German government to take measures to prevent the implementation of American drones. They emphasized that this commitment to protection also extends to individuals outside German territory. Legal on American military operations partially launched from the Ramstein base.
