The Sharjah Heritage Institute and the Library of Alexandria are looking to enhance cultural cooperation

Alexandria, July 16 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al -Muslim, President of the Sharjah Institute of Heritage, visited the Library of Alexandria, one of the most prominent cognitive edifices in the Arab world, where he discussed the prospects for joint cooperation in the areas of documentation, protection of heritage and scientific publishing.

The Muslim praised the great cognitive edifice, describing it as “the unique civilized teacher who combines originality and modernity and carries a sublime human message”, and said: What I saw of the diversity of specializations and initiatives confirms that we are facing a cognitive edifice worthy of the ancient history of Alexandria, and we are at the Sharjah Heritage Institute looking to more joint cultural cooperation.

During the visit, the Muslim was briefed on the library’s vital facilities, including the Manuscripts Museum, and the digital restoration laboratories specialized in preserving documents, as well as the Alexandria International Book Fair, stressing the importance of publishing in promoting Arab cultural identity.
