Noha Abdel Salam, a hero for “Arab Reading Challenge” in Libya

The student, Noha Taha Abdel Salam, won the champion of the Arab Reading Challenge in its ninth session at the level of the State of Libya, out of 125 thousand students who represented 1650 schools, and under the supervision of 1632 supervisors and supervisors who participated in the ninth session of the largest reading initiative of its kind in Arabic in the world.
The crowning of the student, Noha Taha Abdel Salam, from the fourth grade in the children’s dream school affiliated to the Ajdabiya region in the eastern region (C), during the closing ceremony of the ninth session witnessed by the Libyan capital, Tripoli, in the presence of the Minister of Education in charge, Eng. Ali Al -Abed Al -Rida, the participation of a number of officials and educators, and a crowd of male and female students.
Also at the closing ceremony was honored by Bashir Mohamed Al -Issawi from the “Eastern -C” region, after winning the title of “Distinguished Supervisor” and Qaraqara Preparatory School from the Monitoring of Ghrifa Education in the southern region (B), with the title of “Distinguished School”.
In terms of the category of people of determination, the student, Moayad Al -Haq Ali Al -Zain, won the 12th grade in the Ibn Sina School of Education Control – Misurata in the central region (B), first place, after a qualifier in which 500 male and female students from various educational areas in Libya participated.

For his part, the Director of Programs and Initiatives at the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives” Foundation, Dr. Fawzan Al -Khaldi, praised the distinguished Libyan participation in the ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge, and the great interest shown by the Libyan Ministry of Education to introduce the reading initiative to the widest scale, and encourage male and female students to participate in its qualifiers.
He added: «The educational institution in Libya has achieved an exceptional success in the ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge, through the competence showed by Libyan male and female students throughout the qualifiers, and record records in the number of competitors, where 125 thousand students participated in the ninth session, an increase of about 822%, compared to the Libyan participation in the last session of the Arab Reading Challenge that witnessed the competition of 13 thousand and 559 Student and student, and this great rise is a remarkable achievement for the challenge of Arab reading and the Libyan Ministry of Education.
Al -Khalidi blessed the first male, female students, schools and supervisors, as well as the participants in the qualifiers and their families, expressing his confidence in the ability of Libyan students to continue this distinction in the upcoming courses of the challenge of Arab reading.
Establishing dialogue
The ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative, which is under the umbrella of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Initiatives”, witnessed a record participation of 32 million and 231 thousand students from 50 countries, representing 132 thousand and 112 schools, under the supervision of 161 thousand and four supervisors and supervisors.
The Arab Reading Challenge – which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, in 2015 – aims to consolidate the culture of reading in the Arabic language, as a language capable of keeping pace with all forms of arts, science and knowledge, and the love of Arab youth in the language of antagonism, and encouraging them to use it in their daily dealings.
