Ethiopian Federal Police University praises the efforts of Dubai Police to promote security innovation
Dubai, July 19/ WAM/ The Ethiopian Federal Police University praised the efforts of the Dubai Police General Command in consolidating innovation as a sustainable approach to police work and noted the success of the emirate in employing the latest technologies to achieve its vision by making Dubai the safest city in the world.
This came in statements to Major Pitimrim, Emmanolo, chief coach of the Ethiopian Federal Police University after his participation in the second edition of the Specialized Diploma for Police Innovation and International Leadership (PIL), organized by Dubai Police in cooperation with the Rochester Institute of Technology, with the participation of officers from 39 countries.
He stressed that the program is an inspiring experience that briefed it on advanced security and technological concepts such as artificial intelligence, metaphors, and blockchain technology and opened new horizons for it about technology capabilities in promoting the efficiency of police work.
He described the Dubai Police as an integrated model that combines leading leadership and modern technologies, expressing his aspiration to transfer the experience to his country by providing organizational recommendations and holding meetings and workshops to generalize the concepts gained in line with the local context.
He explained that the digital transformation in the security institutions in Ethiopia is still in its beginnings, but there is a serious trend for the government to enhance innovation, pointing to the possibility of benefiting from the Dubai Police experience as a practical reference to develop security work.
At the conclusion of his statement, Tolo stressed that the development of security work methods is no longer a luxury, but rather the necessity of the nature of modern crime.
