“Dubai Roads” is completing the development of 22 passenger stations and the accommodation of buses as part of its plan to upgrade the quality of public transportation services

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has completed the project of developing 22 public transport bus stations, which included 16 buses of bus passengers and 6 buses to accommodate buses, as part of its strategic plan to enhance the mass transportation network, upgrade the quality of services provided to passengers, and provide an integrated and safe transportation service that meets the aspirations of the emirate’s residents and visitors.
His Excellency Matar Al -Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, stressed that the project comes as a continuation of the authority’s efforts in developing the infrastructure of the mass transportation system, and is an extension of the authority’s efforts in developing the infrastructure of the mass transportation, with the aim of encouraging residents to use mass transportation in their daily transportation, indicating that bus accommodation stations are carried out, maintenance and cleaning work for all the past bus fleet The number is 1387 buses.
Al -Tayer added: “We were keen to go beyond the role of bus passengers stations just waiting, to include providing integrated services that contribute to facilitating the user’s journey and achieving his happiness, by developing facilities and providing a comfortable and safe environment for all groups, including people of determination and bicycle users, as well as achieving integration with the Dubai metro service and taxis.”
Advanced stations
His Excellency said: “The project included the development of 16 buses for bus passengers, of which nine stations in the Deira area and seven stations in Bur Dubai, where the waiting halls were rehabilitated, the renovation of building facades, and the modernization of infrastructure systems, and sidewalks, in addition to adding chapels in some locations, and the number of lines, which work on these stations, is 110 lines, and the capacity of the stations in peak hours is estimated at about 710 Buses. “
His Excellency added: “6 stations were developed to accommodate buses with the aim of preparing buses for operation, in the areas of Al -Khawaneej, Al -Qusays, Al -Ruwa, Al -Awir, Jabal Ali and Al -Rouz, and the works included the rehabilitation of technical workshops, equipping the examination and maintenance lanes, adding systems for washing engines, updating the housing facilities for drivers, improving lighting and drainage networks, as well as enhancing the infrastructure of the systems Security, and redesign bus parking arenas. “
Promote linking and integration
This project is part of a broader vision adopted by the authority to enhance the connection between the various means of transportation, by applying the requirements of the first and last mile, and providing supportive elements such as pedestrian paths, bicycle positions, and safe crossings, which contributes to facilitating access to stations, and encouraging the use of sustainable movement.
This achievement also comes as a continuation of previous projects implemented by the authority, which included the establishment of modern stations in strategic locations such as Al -Ghubaiba, Al -Ittihad, Al -Jafila, Wait Mitha, Al -Sattawa, Etisalat, Al -Baraza, the International City, and Dubai Airport (Building 3).
Buses with international standards
The stations development project is integrated with the ownership of the Roads and Transport Authority has a new fleet of public transport buses, characterized by a high level of safety, luxury and quality, as well as its conformity with European specifications for low -carbon emissions “Euro 6” of its first in the Middle East and North Africa, and is equipped with comfortable seats and high safety standards, and the authority also signed a contract to supply 637 A multi -size bus, identical to European specifications for low carbon emissions: “Euro 6”, and will be supplied in 2025 and 2026, and the agreement includes the supply of (40) electric buses (carbon emissions), of the type (Zhongton), equipped with Gulf specifications, tested and tried in the region, and is reported The length of the bus is 12 meters, and it can accommodate 72 passengers, and this is the major agreement and the first of its kind at the state level. The agreement also includes the supply of 451 buses to serve the city, of which (400) buses of type (MAN), with a length of 12 meters, can accommodate 86 passengers, and (51) buses (Zhongton), with a length of 12 meters, accommodates 72 A passenger, which is equipped with high specifications of safety, luxury and quality, and the agreement includes the supply of (76) two -storey buses (Volvo), which is 13 meters long, and accommodates 98 passengers, as well as the supply of (70) articulated buses, of the type (ISUZU Anadolu) and the bus is 18 meters long, and accommodates 111 passengers, which are Device to serve urban areas with high population density, and to serve new areas, to provide greater coverage of the geographical scope in Dubai and raise the occupancy rate
