UAE launches" Sustainable Development Goals Report 2045"At the United Nations

New York on July 21/ WAM/ The United Arab Emirates launched the 2025 edition of the “Sustainable Development Goals Report 2045” at the headquarters of the United Nations Organization in New York City, and the results of the global questionnaire about these future goals announced, in order to enhance the leadership of the state as an active contributor in the participation of knowledge and experiences, and its keenness to redouble opportunities for cooperation, concerted efforts and exchange experiences for sustainable growth.
His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, and Chairman of the National Committee for Sustainable Development Goals, welcomed the high -level attendance of the launch effectiveness, which included both Savana Mazia, Minister of Information and Communications Technology in the Kingdom of Swatini, and His Excellency Victor Verdon, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Women, Elliot Minchandberg, Director of the UNESCO Communication Office in New York and UNESCO representative to the United Nations, His Excellency Najir Hirani Taj Al -Din, the permanent actress of Brunei Dar Al Salam to the United Nations, and His Excellency Tsafai Yilm Sabo, the permanent representative of Ethiopia to the United Nations, while the opening speech was delivered by His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Abushahab, the permanent representative of the UAE to the United Nations.
The report, prepared by the National Committee for Development Goals 2025, was based on the outputs of each of the high -level ministerial session held at the “Development Goals in Implementation” forum in the 2025 edition of the “World Government Summit”, in addition to the recommendations of the high -level round table on the sustainable development goals 2045 within the “Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025”, in addition to benefiting from the results of the global questionnaire on development goals Sustainable for 2045.
During its participation in the forum, the UAE’s delegation revealed the results of the latest global study led by the state on the future of the sustainable development goals for the year 2045, with the participation of individuals from 55 countries, representing different age groups and multiple academic backgrounds, during a special event organized by the state delegation participating in the “high -level political forum on sustainable development 2025”, organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Affairs Department, currently at the organization’s headquarters in New York City.
The report, entitled “Victory 2045: Comprehensive Paths for Sustainable Development”, called for a number of practical steps, most notably, to redefine the desired global development goals for 2045, serious preparation for economies and societies for the future, enhance global cooperation at leadership levels, and the transformation of the development of societies and the planet to a new stage, leading to establishing a global commitment to the future agenda for development.
The report concluded that the transition from the current sustainable development goals to the global sustainable development goals of 2045 is a fundamental shift, which necessarily requires that the future development agenda be proactive, innovative, flexible, and capable of facing inconsistent challenges.
The report presented a road map to reach the goals of sustainable development 2045 through assuming shared responsibilities, appealing to governments to integrate anticipation in the process of policy -making and link national strategies to the ready -made administrative structures of the future, calling on the business sectors to participate in the design of sustainable development with the integration of artificial intelligence, circular economies and responsible innovation.
The report urged international organizations to take advantage of the current sustainable development goals to ensure the inclusion of future development frameworks, in addition to empowering societies and individuals, especially women, youth, owners and fragile groups, to contribute to the desired global development transformation to ensure everyone’s participation in the design of the future.
The report also reviewed the stations of the “Sustainable Development Goals in Implementation” initiative organized by the “World Government Summit” in Dubai since 2016, and embodies the UAE’s commitment to global progress towards achieving the current sustainable development goals.
The UAE’s release of the report from the high -level political forum on sustainable development represents a new addition to the state’s efforts to support the paths of accelerating the achievement of sustainable development goals globally, especially the five goals that the forum focuses on the current year; These are goals 3, 5, 8, 14, and 17, through three main factors; It is innovation, partnerships, and strategic visions.
His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Lootah emphasized that the report constitutes a detailed station towards anticipating the future of development for the next twenty years, through practical paths of international cooperation to set more comprehensive and influential global goals.
He said: “This report represents an extension of the Emirati approach based on pre -empting challenges, strengthening global partnerships, and designing innovative development solutions based on knowledge, data and scientific evidence.”
He added: “The UAE seeks to achieve an early international consensus on the sustainable development goals of 2045, based on the experiences and lessons learned from the goals of 2030, with the aim of ensuring a more sustainable and fair future for all societies.”
Lootah pointed out that the United Nations will start official discussions on the post -2030 goals in 2027, but since 2023 the UAE has initiated the leadership of global thought leaders in formulating this future vision, through the “Sustainable Development Goals Forum in Implementation”, within the global government summit, which so far gathered more than 170 leadership figures from all over the world.
The “Virtue of 2045” report is a strategic contribution to the formulation of the upcoming international agenda, and reflects the UAE’s pioneering role in supporting global sustainable development through cognitive and practical initiatives that seek the future and serve humanity.
The UAE delegation presented the results of the latest global study on the sustainable development goals of 2045, and included participants from 55 countries from many age groups, and various academic specialties.
The study concluded a remarkable output package, most notably, supporting 94.7% of the participants to expand the scope of progress in a way that is not limited to the indicators and numbers of abstract economic growth, and 85.4% assertion that the involvement of people in making and making decisions raises the level of their integration and their participation in achieving development goals.
70% of the participants also supported a cooperative approach that involves various sectors and is not limited to the role of governments to achieve sustainable development, while more than two -thirds of the participants in the global study (67.8%) supported the approval of flexible development goals that can be adaptable and identified according to each region. 64.9% considered that artificial intelligence and digitization will overcome traditional policies in the levels of influence and achieve results.
The high -level political forum for sustainable development is the main platform of the United Nations in sustainable development issues. Since its inception in 2012, it has a pivotal role in following up and reviewing what has been implemented at the level of states in the 2030 -year development agenda.
The participating delegations are taking place in the forum, an assessment of the achievements of sustainable development with in -depth reviews of five main goals: 3 goal to ensure a healthy life and enhance the well -being of all in different age groups, the goal 5 to achieve equality and empower women and girls, and the goal 8 to enhance continuous, comprehensive and sustainable economic growth, empowering productive workers and providing proper work for all, goal 14 to maintain oceans, seas and maritime resources And its use in a sustainable manner, and the 17th goal is to enhance and revitalize global partnerships to achieve sustainable development goals.
