Dubai International Holy Quran Award receives 5618 posts from the book of the Book of God from 105 countries

Dubai, July 22/ WAM/ The Dubai International Holy Quran Award, whose activities are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai “may God bless him”, received a large number of requests for participation in its twenty -eighth session of 2026, as part of its new development vision under the slogan “We are looking for the most beautiful Quranic voice in the world.”
The award recorded 5618 requests from 105 countries around the world, including 30% in the female branch, in an achievement that reflects the great success in expanding the base of international participation, and the establishment of Dubai’s position as a global position in serving the Book of God.
His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al -Muhairi, Director General of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work in Dubai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the award, stressed that this great demand embodies an exceptional success for the development vision in which the sponsor of the award was directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to consolidate Dubai’s pioneering position in celebrating the memorization of the Holy Quran and those in charge of his service from scholars and institutions from all over the world.
He pointed out that one of the most prominent developments of the current session is to open the door for participation for females for the first time, and the adoption of direct personal candidacy, in addition to the usual nomination from the participant state itself or by an accredited Islamic center, in addition to raising the total value of the awards to more than 12 million dirhams, with the allocation of one million dollars to the first winner in both the male and female categories.
He pointed out that the award, thanks to the sponsorship and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has established its position as the largest and most important awards to honor the memorizers of the Holy Quran, indicating that this session will constitute a new turning point in the history of the award towards doubling its position, and in a way that represents a strengthening of Dubai’s role and its global contributions in serving the Book of God, stimulating its learning, preserving it, and spreading its values and tolerant teachings.
For his part, Ibrahim Jassim Al -Mansoori, Acting Director of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, said that the requests for participation in the 28th session of the award witnessed a demand from different countries of the world, and included posts from Arab and Islamic countries and Islamic communities from various foreign countries.
Al -Mansouri pointed out that the requests of the Holy Quran memorizers from the Arab Republic of Egypt came in the lead by registering 1410 participation requests, followed by Pakistan with 571 requests, Indonesia with 505 requests, India with 391 applications, Morocco with 248 applications, Syria with 211 requests, Bangladesh with 211 requests, Iraq with 187 requests, Nigeria with 133 requests, and Yemen with 132 Request.
He noted that the Dubai International Holy Quran Award received remarkable participation requests from the memorizers of the Qur’an from Islamic communities in the United States of America, Canada, Russia and European countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
Ibrahim Jassim Al -Mansoori pointed out that this increasing international interest in the Dubai International Holy Quran Award stimulates the acceleration of efforts and creation of more means, initiatives and programs that work to encourage a greater number of countries, institutions and individuals to compete positively in preserving the Holy Quran, reciting it and caring for its sciences.
The Dubai International Holy Quran Award, during the registration period for participation, which lasted from May 21 to July 20, received 5816 requests from the Holy Quran memorizers of 30% of them in the female branch, and all qualified requests entered the initial arbitration stage, which started since the beginning of this July and will continue until 31 of the same month.
Those who qualified in the initial arbitration stage will move to the second stage, which will be through direct visual communication between the Quran memorizers and the jury and will continue during the period from 1 to 30 September next, and then the qualifiers from the Quran memorizers will move to the final arbitration stage, which will be organized in the presence of arbitrators and contestants in Dubai during the second week of the blessed month of Ramadan.
The “Dubai International Holy Quran Award” announced a new development vision within the twenty -eighth session of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award for the year (1447 AH – 2026 AD), to be more distinctive and broader, confirming the position of the leading Emirate of Dubai in serving the Holy Book of God, and in the entire role of its role as a global center to celebrate the memorization of the Qur’an from all over the world, where the new session bears qualitative additions that enhance the march The award extending for 28 years.
