The start of the International Taekwondo Championship tomorrow in Al Ain, with the participation of 600 players

Al -Ain on July 22/ WAM/ tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, the International Taekwondo Championship “GTF” will start, and will continue until July 27 with the participation of 600 players and players representing 30 countries.
The tournament includes various competitions, most notably free fighting, breaking panels, belts tests, and colored groups for players of various levels.
The first championship of its kind in the Middle East region is organized by the Ministry of Sports in cooperation with the International Taekwondo Federation “GTF”, and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and its details were announced at a press conference yesterday at the “Ella Grand” hotel in Al Ain.
Saeed Al -Aji, Vice President of the Emirates Sports Federation for all, pointed to the societal role of the tournament, and its impact on spreading the culture of sports and enhancing the active lifestyle, stressing at the same time the continuous support of the Federation of such qualitative initiatives.
Abdullah Al -Kamali, head of the organizing committee, said that the tournament is one of the most prominent sporting events, and it was prepared according to the highest standards that are in line with the global position of the state in hosting sports events and championships.
Damir Khalilov, Vice President of the International Taekwondo Federation (GTF), thanked the UAE, the Organizing Committee and partners, and the various committees for hosting the event in Al Ain City, expressing his desire for more cooperation to spread the game in the Emirates, to embody the values of honorable competition, sports spirit, and cultural exchange.
For his part, Saeed Al Dhaheri, representative of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, stressed the importance of international events in enhancing the position of Al Ain region, a global sporting and tourist destination, the cultural and sports value that it adds to the region, its role in attracting visitors, and enhancing the state’s position on the global sports map.
