"Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism" Announces the partners of the Terra International Conference

Abu Dhabi, July 24 / WAM / The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced that a group of partners joined the fourteenth World Terra Conference of Dirt Architecture, scheduled for the city of Al Ain from 13 to 16 April 2026.
The comprehensive program of the conference, which is held under the title “Management of Change in Territorial Cultural Watch”, includes a series of lectures, practical workshops, discussion sessions, exhibitions, design competitions, field tours, a prize, in addition to other activities.
The program was developed in cooperation with some of the leading institutions in the world in the field of preserving heritage, architecture and sustainability with the aim of promoting constructive dialogue and supporting innovation in the field of territorial architecture.
The conference is organized in cooperation with the International Scientific Committee for Architectural Heritage Heritage “ISCEAHAH”, and the list of the main partners of the conference includes the International Coalition for Heritage Protection “Aliph”, the International Center for Dirt Architecture “Cratere”, the GCI Institute “GCI”, in addition to Proterra, and the Soh-Hath Foundation for the SO HATH 100 Hands Foundation for Building Artisans, and the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Branch of the Gulf Cooperation Council states “Riba GCC”, Al Ain Municipality, International Scientific Committees of the International Council of Milestones and sites “ICOMOS” include: The International Scientific Committee for Analysis and Restoration of Heritage Architectural Structures “ICOCARSARSAH”, and the International Scientific Committee for the viewer Cultural “ICOCCL”, the Scientific Committee for the Documentation of Heritage “ICOMOS-CIPA”, in addition to the International Conservation Federation “IUCN”, the Heritage and Climate Network, “Climate Heritage Network”, the ICCROMATAGE PALALALAB Heritage Laboratory, including a university Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates University, and Zayed University.
It is scheduled that all the activities of the partners will be held before, during and after the conference, and according to the main sub -axes of the “Terra” conference, including “transferring knowledge and awareness of heritage and dirt architecture”, “protecting earthen cultural scenes”, “innovations in dirt architecture and territorial cultural scenes”, and “enhancing the ability to face challenges in cultural scenes of territorial architecture”.
Al Ain City’s choice of hosting the 2026 edition is a prominent achievement of the UAE as the first Arab country to host this global conference, reinforcing it as an influential player in the field of territorial architecture at the regional and international levels.
The fourteenth World Terra Conference affirms the relevant efforts made by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi to promote, preserve and protect the territorial heritage as a basic feature of the country’s architectural and urban identity.
