Nassif Zaitoun: “Jerash” is a dream of fulfilling … and I aspire to be an Arab artist before the world

The Syrian star Nassif Zaitoun will open, on Thursday evening, the first mass concerts, which are performed by the Arab singing stars participating in the “Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts”, in its thirty -ninth session, which is held in Jordan, under the slogan: “Here is Jordan … and its glory is continuing.”

On the sidelines of the expected public ceremony, the Syrian star confirmed, in a press conference held by the festival administration on the occasion of his participation, that he was waiting for his standing on the “Jerash Festival” theater, about 15 years ago, and that he hoped to present a lyric artistic night that remains in the minds of the audience for a long time, and he said: “My participation in the Jerash Festival is a dream that finally fulfills me, and certainly standing on the stage that I stood before me, the stars of me.”

He added: “I hope in the future after years, that the Jordanian and Arab audience will mention the name Nassif Zaitoun, in his number of the names of successful artists, who sang in (Jerash), as the name Melhem Barakat and George Wassouf mention.”

Regarding his singing in different Arab dialects, Nassif stressed that he always searches for the good word and the new idea, and that he does not mind presenting any Arabic lyric color, as well as the classical poem, and that he seeks in his artistic career to be the voice of the Arab audience.

In response to the idea of submitting lyrical works in international languages, he said: “I have to succeed in my work that I present in my language, and to reach the hearts of all people, and Bakir on the global.”

Zaitoun also welcomed singing with his colleagues, the Syrian artists, especially Al -Shami, stressing that he is ready to cooperate with them; As the people of his country, he said: “I have no objection at all to deal with Al -Shami, and all Syrian artists, as it is one of the successful names among the audience.”

And on the role of art in bringing people closer, Nassif stressed that he is a Syrian Arab, and he considers all Arab peoples his people, and that art is closer to people and brings them together and does not separate them, no matter how different circumstances.

Zaitoun praised the two Jordanian stars Omar Al -Abdallat and Diana Cruzen, stressing that he has been following them for a long time, and he was admired by the artist Adham Nabulsi before his retirement, stressing that he did not refrain from presenting a joint work with a future Jordanian artist, in the event that he found the appropriate song.

On his new artwork, the Syrian star revealed that he has four lyric works in the Egyptian dialect, a Gulf song, as well as “Dio” with a Moroccan artist, who preferred not to reveal his name at the present time.

And about allocating time during his visits to countries for rest and recreation, between Nassif that he usually spends time for tourism in the countries he is visiting, if time allows, and he does not have technical connections, indicating that he visited the coastal city of Aqaba recently, and enjoyed its atmosphere, and that he is soon looking to visit Wadi Rum and the city of Petra.
