The authority said, in a statement, that the rail transport sector inside the cities witnessed a remarkable growth after it recorded more than 33.8 million passengers who transported through the trains during the second quarter of 2025; This reflects the great and increasing demand during the past few months.

With regard to transportation and minerals, the Transport Authority explained that more than 4.08 million tons, and more than 232 thousand containers shipped across the railways; This reflects the vital role of trains in supporting the Saudi economy, and contributing to strengthening supply chains, especially in the sectors of industry and mining, as part of its contribution; To achieve the goals of the national transport and logistical services strategy.
The movement of trains contributes to facilitating passengers and goods, providing safe and appropriate means of transportation, and also contributes to reducing carbon emissions and improving the quality of life in the Kingdom.
