The activities of the second edition of "Dubai wet"

Dubai, July 25/ WAM/ The activities of the second edition of the “Dubai Wet”, organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival, started today with the wide participation of various regions of the country, amid a remarkable public presence that reflects the increasing societal interaction with this annual event.

The first day witnessed the coronation of the winners of the first places in the two halves of “The Great Dubai” and “The Great Akdaj General”, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy, His Excellency Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage and His Excellency Abdullah Al -Basti, Secretary -General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai.

The competition recorded a prominent women’s presence, as women topped the coronation platforms, and won the largest percentage of prizes, in a scene that reflects the inclusiveness of the initiative and their role in empowering women and enhancing their presence in the palm cultivation sector.

The competitions were also distinguished by exceptional weights, approaching 100 kilograms, indicating the intensive care of the Emirati palm tree, and continuous attention to improving wet quality and productivity through advanced agricultural practices.

His Excellency Abdullah bin Dalmouk emphasized that the success of the second edition’s launch reflects the values that the event seeks to consolidate, such as heritage, generosity and community communication, noting that the distinguished female presence is evidence of the initiative to reach various groups of society.

He pointed out that “Dubai Wet” continues to perform its role in supporting and empowering those interested in palm cultivation, through a competitive heritage platform that contributes to enhancing local production and preserving the UAE agricultural heritage.
