China’s financial spending increased by 3.4% during the first half

Beijing on July 26/ WAM/ China’s financial spending increased by 3.4% year on year to reach approximately 14.13 trillion yuan (about $ 1.98 trillion) during the first half of 2025.
Official data issued by the Chinese Ministry of Finance yesterday showed that financial departments at all levels continued to enhance spending in the main fields, and financial spending on social security and employment increased by 9.2% on an annual basis during the period between January and June.
During the first six months, financial spending on science and technology increased by 9.1% on an annual basis, while spending on education and health increased by 5.9% and 4.3%, respectively.
China’s financial revenue decreased by 0.3% on an annual basis to about 11.56 trillion yuan during the first half of this year.
The central government in China has gathered nearly 4.86 trillion yuan from financial revenue, a decrease of 2.8% on an annual basis, while local governments collected nearly 6.7 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.6% on an annual basis.
