Traffic awareness workshops for drivers of “Al -Delvry” in Dubai

The General Traffic Department of Dubai Police, represented by the Traffic Education Department, organized a series of awareness workshops for the delivery of applications (the Diphri) working in a company, within the framework of the two awareness campaigns “summer without accidents” and “excessive speed”, with the aim of enhancing traffic safety and reducing accidents committed while driving, especially by motorcycle drivers, and the number of beneficiaries of these workshops has reached more than 64 drivers.

The Deputy Director of the General Traffic Department, Brigadier Issam Ibrahim Al -Awar, stressed that the organization of these workshops comes as an embodiment of the Dubai Police’s keenness to intensify traffic awareness efforts for all groups of road users, especially the delivery drivers whose work requires continuous presence on the roads.

He pointed out that these initiatives directly contribute to reducing accidents, and supporting the achievement of the targets of national indicators related to reducing the number of deaths and injuries resulting from traffic accidents.

Brigadier Essam Al -Awar explained that the workshops dealt with many axes, including the basic rules of safe leadership, the importance of adhering to the specified speeds, and avoiding wrong behaviors such as preoccupation with the phone while driving or suddenly deviating from the path, as well as stressing the need to use personal safety tools such as head and reflective jacket. The most common causes of accidents were also highlighted, and how to deal with emergency situations when a traffic accident occurs.

The workshops and lectures also included visual and interactive activities and performances, in addition to open discussion sessions that allowed drivers to ask questions and exchange experiences, which helped to enhance their absorption of traffic risks and how to avoid them, and to raise the level of commitment to traffic rules.

Brigadier Essam Al -Awar stressed the importance of continuing such awareness programs periodically, explaining that the partnership with the delivery companies represents a pivotal element in achieving traffic safety goals, indicating that Dubai Police puts among its priorities to make roads safer and sustainable, in line with their strategic vision in reducing accidents and achieving the highest traffic security standards in the emirate.
