The CEO of “Talis” in the Emirates and CEO of “Talis Emirates Technology”, Abdel Hafeez Mourdi, stated that the Emirates Technology Company “Talis Technology” decided to expand the global radar center for its globally, by creating a new and advanced radar production in the Emirates in the Industrial Balance Complex, indicating that this facility will enter the stage of full operation by 2027, It will integrate, test and rehabilitate the advanced “Grand Master” air control radars for local markets and export markets as part of its commitment to a vision “Make in the Emirates”.

He added, in an interview with «Emirates Today», that the establishment of this facility in the Emirates will enhance the capabilities of defense manufacturing in the UAE, and the country’s dependence on the main technologies in biological defense technologies and support the national supply chain. The facility also deepens local experience in advanced radar systems, pointing to full cooperation with the Economic Balance Council and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology to achieve this goal.

Mourdi pointed out that local manufacturing provides greater flexibility and response, provides access to local competencies, and supports contributing to diversifying the state’s economy and achieving the industrial sovereignty of the Emirates, and supporting its plans for economic diversification and manufacturing the latest technology, pointing to cooperation with UAE universities continuously to enhance local research and development, which contributes to the production of local technologies to build national experiences.

Moureidi stressed that one of the priorities of “Talis” contributing to the environmental industrial system of the Emirates, by creating new export technologies and increasing the global economic impact, which constitutes an essential part of the “300 billion project”, while ensuring that sustainability is a major axis in its efforts to enable the Emirati industries to achieve carbon neutrality through smart technologies saving resources.

He pointed out that the contributions of “Talis”, which celebrates this year with the 50th anniversary of its establishment in the Emirates, exceeds traditional contributions, and varies in various fields such as aviation, space, defense and security solutions, leading to reliable solutions based on artificial intelligence, which support the state, as well as the establishment of digital excellence centers within the framework of the initiatives of the Economic Balance Council “balance”.

He pointed out that the company has recently signed a partnership for several years with the company “Global Irosbis Logistics” to support and develop common systems for current and future airlines, and the agreement includes providing specialized training and global opportunities for ambitious Emirati specialists in the field of aviation and space, which promotes joint commitment to building national capabilities.

He noted that “Talis” is working through the “Your Direct Emirates” initiative, which was launched last year, in cooperation with the Economic Balance Council with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology to support local manufacturing, to build a strong system for deep technology and space manufacturing in cooperation with the relevant Emirati authorities, where in this context an agreement was signed between the Council and “Talis” during the last version of “Made in the Emirates 2025” to integrate 20 suppliers Locally in the global supply chain of “Talis”, noting that nine Emirati suppliers were included, each of whom was chosen for their technological capabilities and obtained international certificates in the context of building a local supply base accredited to local markets and export markets.

He pointed out that “Talis” is investing in local talents through partnerships with the best universities, which allows research and practical development for the next generation of Emirati engineers and innovators, pointing out that initiatives such as the radar manufacturing facility in the Emirates show how global companies can integrate advanced technological capabilities locally, not only to meet local needs, but also to export, as well as close cooperation with the authorities The local is within the framework of initiatives such as “Go to the Emirates” to ensure the integration of suppliers residing in the Emirates into global value chains, which raises the quality, competitiveness and flexibility in all fields.

He pointed to the importance of the “Talis” partnership, with the fully owned manufacturing manufacturing company Mubadala Investment Company, where Strata succeeded in designing and manufacturing the first project of the antenna painting of advanced radar systems used by the company “Talis”, noting that this project is the first project designed by “Strata” entirely with great contributions from its national engineering competencies, where the engineers of “Strata” worked And its specialists in various disciplines, leaving a prominent Emirati imprint in the field of advanced radar and satellite manufacturing.
