المملكة: With names .. The Kingdom achieves 4 awards in the International Biology Olympics 2025

In the Philippine capital, Manila, the results of the 36th edition of the International Biology Olympics (IBO 2025), which was held during the period (20-27) July.
(308) male and female students representing (80) countries from different parts of the world participate in one of the most prominent international scientific competitions for high school students.

The announcement of the results of the Saudi neighborhood team achieved a new scientific achievement added to the Kingdom’s record in international posts, after winning a silver medal, two bronze medals, and a certificate of appreciation.
These results came as a culmination of extensive efforts and preparations that extended for months, within a specialized training program that exceeded its hours (2800) training hours for each student, under the supervision of the King Abdulaziz Foundation and his men for talent and creativity “talent”, and in a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education.
The student, Abdullah Hajid Al -Subaie, from the education of Taif, received the silver medal, while the student Hamza Mohamed Baesa from Riyadh education, and the student Ziyad Ahmed Al -Nimri from the education of the Royal Commission in Yanbu, achieved two bronze medals, and the student Hassan Abdullah Al -Bahr got from Riyadh education a certificate of appreciation.

Saudi Awards in the International Biology Olympics

These results are an extension of the Kingdom’s participation in the International Biology Olympics, which started in the year (2022), bringing the Kingdom’s balance to (4) silver medals, (7) bronze, and (4) certificates of appreciation, in a clear indication of the development of the scientific level of Saudi students, and their ability to compete in prestigious international scientific forums.
It is noteworthy that the International Biology Olympiad is considered one of the oldest international scientific competitions, as its first version was launched in 1990 in the Czech Republic.
It targets talented students in biology from high school, and includes advanced theoretical and practical tests aimed at developing scientific thinking skills, analysis, and problem solving in various branches of biology.

The achievements of the Saudi neighborhood team

Last May, the Saudi neighborhood team achieved (6) silver medals at the OIBO 2025 Open Olympics October 2025, which was hosted by Sochi in Russia, during the period from 10 to 17 May, with the participation of (100) students from (17) countries around the world.
This achievement came as a culmination of the joint efforts between the King Abdulaziz Foundation and its men for talent and creativity “talent”, and the Ministry of Education, in the context of their endeavor to enable and sponsor talented students and qualify them to participate in international scientific competitions, and represent the Kingdom in the best way.
