A special conclusion for the 6th edition of the World Martial Arts Championships mixed with Al Ain

Al-Ain, on July 27 / WAM / The curtain was closed today on the sixth edition of the World Mixed Martial Arts Championships, which was held in the Al Ain region during the period from 21 to 27 July, in cooperation between the International Federation of Mixed Martial Arts, the Emirates Jujitsu Federation and Mixed Martial Arts and the Department of Culture and Tourism- Abu Dhabi.
The tournament this year attracted more than 1,000 players from 60 countries, competing in four age groups, in an event that the participants described as the largest and most advanced in the history of the tournament.
Ukraine succeeded in defending its title and ranked at the top of the ranking, followed by England, runner -up, and Tajikistan in third place.
The UAE team for combat arts for the juniors recorded a honorable presence, as it won 13 colored medals distributed between gold, silver and bronze, which reflects the fruits of continuous technical and administrative work, and investing in the Sunni groups to build a promising generation capable of excellence in the largest international arenas.
The closing day witnessed the honoring of a number of success partners in the championship, led by Carith Brown, President of the International Federation of Mixed Martial Arts, Abu Dhabi Police, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company “ADNEC”, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “Health”, RDX, and Abu Dhabi Sports Channels.
His Excellency Brigadier General Mohamed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Federation for Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, Chairman of the Mixed Martial Arts Committee, expressed his pride in the great success achieved by the tournament, stressing that hosting the Al Ain region for this global event reflects the confidence of the International Federation in the UAE and enhances its pioneering position in organizing the most prominent international championships.
The price of the rational leadership that provides the ideal environment for sports said: “We are proud of the honorable performance of our children that reflects the spirit of determination and discipline, and contributes to enhancing the UAE’s position in the international scene of mixed martial arts.”
His Excellency Saleh Muhammad Al -Jaziri, Director General of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi stressed that the growing popularity of mixed martial arts championships in Abu Dhabi reflects a growing passion for sports distinction and global status in this field.
He expressed pride in hosting the World Championship for Mixed Martial Arts, which he said embodies our commitment to sponsoring young talents and enhancing the position of this sport on the international scene, describing the organization of the championship in the Al Ain region for the first time as an opportunity to highlight this vital destination, and to enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global sports center.
