“The Triple” leads “white” to beat Bahrain in “Arab basketball”

The success rate in the triple pomegranate, which reached 33%, led the national team to achieve a difficult victory over its Bahraini counterpart by one basket, with a score of (81-79) in the match that brought them together, the day before yesterday, in the second round of the Arab Championship for the teams, currently held in its 26 edition in the Bahraini capital, Manama, which extends until the second of next August.

The same round witnessed the Egyptian team’s victory over its Qatari counterpart (90-69), and Tunisia’s victory over Kuwait (86-61).

The national team promoted its joint lead to the general ranking of the championship with its Egyptian and Tunisian counterparts, by achieving each of them, the second successive, and by reaching four points, as Al-Abyad started his career last Friday by defeating Kuwait in the opening match (87-79).

The national team succeeded in the heart of its delay against Bahrain, by investing the points of its superiority in the triple pomegranate, in addition to the defensive hardness, as the owners of the land imposed their preferences in the first and third quarters by (23-21) and (28-28), before the “white” players regained the initiative and resolved the second and fourth quarters with a result (25-13) and (23-15).

The players of the team recorded 10 three out of 30 attempts, with a success rate of 33%, compared to only six throws for the Bahraini team out of 32 attempts, with a success rate that did not exceed 18%.

The 10 thunderbolt carried the signature of the playmaker De Marco (four throws), and Qais Omar and Hassan Abdullah (two pomegranates for each of them), along with a successful throw by Khalifa Khalil and Mamadoundi.

The defensive hardness also played an important role in the return of “Al -Abyad” to the atmosphere of the match, after the players succeeded in superiority under the basket, recording 46 successful follow -ups of the counted balls, compared to only 39 for the Bahraini team.

The team will rest today, before its upcoming confrontation in front of its Tunisian counterpart at seven in the evening tomorrow.
