Collaborate"Emirates Nuclear Energy" and"Hyundai Engineering and Construction"
Seoul on July 28 / WAM / The Emirates Nuclear Energy Company signed today a memorandum of understanding in the Korean capital Seoul, with Hyundai Engineering and Construction, to explore joint opportunities in the global nuclear energy sector, and to accelerate the development and use of clean energy through innovation in the nuclear energy sector.
This cooperation is based on the strategic partnership between the UAE and the Republic of Korea in the nuclear energy sector, and supports the common goals of the two countries in developing peaceful nuclear energy, in line with the estimates of the International Energy Agency and the International Atomic Energy Agency, with a significant increase in the production capacity of nuclear energy around the world by 2030 and 2050, respectively.
The memorandum of understanding between the two companies provides a comprehensive framework for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, the joint evaluation of potential cooperation in nuclear energy projects, and the evaluation of strategic investment opportunities. The memo also includes forming a joint working group to define areas of common concern, and support the development of future nuclear energy initiatives.
