Dubai converts used oils and fats into clean diesel fuel

Dubai, July 28 / WAM / Dubai Municipality signed a memorandum of understanding with the company “Bayod Technology SS”, which is affiliated with the company “Dobal Holding”, with the aim of converting used vegetable oils, fats, oils and grease into a vital diesel (B100) clean and renewed, in a qualitative step towards promoting environmental sustainability and consolidating the concept of the circular economy in the emirate.

According to the memo, the “Bioydi Technology” company gives the authority to collect oils and fats from different parts of Dubai and treat it to convert it into vital diesel fuel, in an initiative that contributes to reducing the infrastructure of sewage infrastructure in addition to reducing the environmental footprint and operating costs related to wastewater treatment.

This cooperation comes within the framework of supporting the long -term sustainability strategies and contributes to strengthening the local green economy and accelerating the transition towards clean and sustainable energy solutions.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was attended by a number of officials, including Eng. Fahd Al -Awadi, Director of the Department of Sewerage and Water Projects Recycled in the Municipality of Dubai, Youssef Bastaki, a member of the Board of Directors of “Boydi Technology”, and CEO Fig, CEO of the company.
Engineer Adel Al Marzouki, Executive Director of the Waste and Sanitation Foundation in Dubai Municipality, said that this partnership represents a pivotal step in our efforts to enhance the Dubai Environmental Agency through innovative and sustainable solutions to convert waste to energy in integration with our targets in the field of integrated waste and sanitation management in a way that enhances Dubai’s sustainability and leadership, indicating that converting waste into a valuable source of energy does not protect Biochemical infrastructure, but also contributes to reducing environmental risks and achieving the goals of the Dubai 2030 plan in the field of environmental sustainability.
Ahmed bin Fahd Al -Muhairi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Boydi Technology”, said that the company’s efforts focus on providing practical and effective solutions that contribute to improving the environment and enhancing the goals of the circular economy in Dubai, while Shiva stressed that this partnership is an important step to expand the company’s efforts towards broader initiatives that support sustainable waste management and enhance innovative recycling solutions.
