Taiz, July 31/ WAM/ The student, Rahaf Sami Jamil Abdullah, won the title of the champion of the Arab Reading Challenge in its ninth session at the level of the Republic of Yemen, after a qualifier that witnessed great competition between male and female students participating to win the first position and represent Yemen in the final stage that is taking place in Dubai to crown the champion of the Arab Reading Challenge 2025.
996 schools participated in the qualifiers under the supervision of 100 supervisors and supervisors in the ninth session qualifiers.
The announcement of the victory of the student, Rahaf Sami Jamil Abdullah, from the seventh grade in the Dar Al -Noq al -Noqah National School of Taiz Governorate, during the closing ceremony of the ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge that took place in the city of Aden in the presence of His Excellency Tariq Salem Al -Akbari, Minister of Education in the Republic of Yemen, and the participation of a number of educational leaders, educational cadres and parents of male and female students participating in the qualifiers at the level of the Republic.
In the category of people of determination, the Arab Reading Challenge, the student, rifted Abdul Karim Abdul Rahman from the eleventh grade in the Arwa School for Girls of the Taiz Educational Zone, was crowned with the title of this category.
The final qualifiers at the level of the Republic of Yemen qualified ten male and female students, and the list included in addition to the student, Rahaf Sami Jamil Abdullah, who is the first place, both: Ayat Omar Muhammad Salam from the eleventh grade in the Nawras Kabuta School of the Aden Educational Zone, Abdul Qadir Hussein Hassan Al -Aidarous from the eleventh grade in the Sayyun Model Secondary School (Hadramout Al -Wadi) The School of the martyr Zaid Al -Mushki (Taiz), Razan Ramez Abdul -Malik from the eighth grade in the Dar Al -Holy Quran National School (Taiz), Abdul Karim Abdullah Awad Muslim from the twelfth grade in Al -Najah National School (Hadramout Al -Wadi), Hana Affan Ali bin Ali Ahmed Al -Dhahiri from the fifth grade in the Nawras Kabuta School (Aden) Al -Sahel), Mona Mohamed Saeed Bashmakh from the eleventh grade in the Mallala Model Secondary School (Hadramout Al -Sahel), and Nada Aref Muhammad Al -Dubai from the eleventh grade in the Al -Mobil School (Al -Jouf).
The ninth session of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative achieved the largest reading demonstration of its kind in the Arabic language in the world, a record participation of 32 million and 231 thousand students from 50 countries representing 132112 schools, and under the supervision of 16,1004 supervisors and supervisors.

He said that the male and female students of the sisterly Republic of Yemen participating in the qualifiers of the ninth session, showed a deep awareness of the importance of reading and diligence and acquiring knowledge and mastery in the Arabic language, which distinguished their participation throughout the ninth session qualifiers, where they fought the competitions seriously and a great commitment to the requirements of the Arab reading challenge, and they were keen to interact with the directives and guidance of supervisors and supervisors, who have harnessed their capacity and time for help Participants to complete the qualifying stages.
Dr. Fawzan Al -Khalidi congratulated the champion of the Arab Reading Challenge in its ninth session at the level of the Republic of Yemen, the first competitors and all the participants in the challenge qualifiers and their families, and also thanked the Yemeni Ministry of Education, which provided everything necessary to conduct the qualifiers.
The Arab Reading Challenge, which was launched in the 2015-2016 academic year under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God bless him”, aims to produce a comprehensive reading and knowledge movement, consolidate the culture of reading in the Arabic language as a language capable of keeping pace with all forms of arts, science and knowledge, and encouraging emerging generations to use them in their daily dealings, developing mechanisms The self in a sound Arabic language, and the development of creative thinking skills.
The challenge seeks to enhance the importance of cognitive reading in building self -learning skills, and building the value system of young people by informing them of the values, customs and beliefs of other cultures, which establishes the principles of tolerance, coexistence and acceptance of the other.
