“At the last minute” .. South Korea is reaching a trade agreement with America

US President Donald Trump announced a new trade agreement with South Korea, stipulating that customs duties are imposed by 15% of his country’s imports, instead of the tariff imposed by 25%.
This came after the Asian state rushed to secure an agreement “in the last moments” before the deadline for the entry into force on Friday.
According to the agreement, South Korea agreed to invest 350 billion in the United States on projects chosen by Trump, and to buy energy products worth $ 100 billion.
The commodities exported from Seoul to Washington were subject to 25% mutual customs duties in April, before Trump temporarily suspended the drawings that targeted dozens of countries, and sparked confusion in the international trade movement.
South Korean President Lee Jay Meongj said today, Thursday, that his country “exceeded a big obstacle” by reaching a trade agreement with the United States to reduce customs duties on imports to 15%.
South Korea is one of the largest commercial partners of the United States, especially in electronic chips and steel exports.
