Reopening part of Iranian airspace

Iran has partially reopened its airspace for international flights crossing its eastern regions, the Iranian Civil Aviation Authority announced.

The Civil Aviation Authority said, “The air corridors in the eastern part of Iranian airspace are open to international flights transiting Iran,” adding that some airports also reopened at 7 a.m. (03:30 GMT), Agence France-Presse reported.

More than 3 hours after the announcement, flight tracking websites showed that Iranian airspace was free of any international transit flights, while others resorted to long detours to avoid their airspace.
