The 33rd edition of the President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses begins tomorrow in Tunisia

Tunisia, April 18 / WAM / The first leg of the 33rd edition of the His Highness the President of the State Cup series for purebred Arabian horses will begin tomorrow, Sunday, at the Qasr Al-Saeed track in Tunisia, marking the start of an exceptional international season.

The Tunis station comes within the agenda of the new edition, which is the largest and most widespread in the history of the series, which includes 19 international stations held across four continents, with prizes exceeding 20 million dirhams, in a clear confirmation of the leadership position achieved by the precious cup as the most important and most expensive purebred Arabian horse race in the world.

The inaugural race will witness the participation of 14 horses from the elite Arabian horse studs in Tunisia and North Africa, in the first category race for a distance of 2000 meters on sand, in a strong start that reflects the importance of the event and the level of competition.

The list also includes a distinguished group of horses, including: Las Vegas, Buraq, Afjan, Mousan, Nims, Muneeb Al-Wajd, Orabi Ammar, Waad Al-Adiyat, Warfalli, Mawarid, RB Boy Friend, and Gendor de Bozole in a race that reflects the strength of competition and the development of the standards of Arabian horses in the region.

Through this edition, the precious cup continues to consolidate its global presence, based on the accumulated successes it has achieved during its journey, which contributed to enhancing the spread of the Arabian horse in major international festivals, and consolidating the UAE’s position as a leading force in supporting and developing Arabian horse racing.

For his part, His Excellency Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, confirmed that the 33rd edition of the tournament is a strategic milestone in the World Series’ journey.

He said that the unlimited support from the wise leadership contributed to creating a qualitative shift in the journey of the precious Cup, and enhancing its presence in major international tracks, to become a leading platform for supporting owners and breeders and raising the status of purebred Arabian horses at the international level.

He added that the Tunis station constitutes a strong start to an exceptional season, in light of the new agenda that reflects the scale of development witnessed by the series and the expansion of its global scope, thus consolidating its position as the strongest and most expensive Arabian horse races in the world.
