Dubai Chambers discusses with a group of textile merchants support the sector’s readiness

During a meeting with the Textile Merchants Group in Dubai (Texmas), Dubai Chambers discussed ways to support the sector’s readiness to adapt to global changes and enhance capabilities to continue sustainable growth, thus consolidating Dubai’s position as a leading global center for textile trade.
In the presence of the Director General of Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, and the Honorary Chairman of the Dubai Textile Merchants Group, Jagdish Amarnani, in addition to members of the group’s Board of Directors, the meeting, which was held at the Dubai Chambers headquarters, reviewed the reality and prospects of the sector and the most urgent priorities to support the flow of business and advance the textile trade in line with the requirements imposed by current global events.
Lootah said in a statement issued yesterday: “We are committed to intensifying efforts to improve the competitiveness and flexibility of all economic sectors in Dubai, especially the textile trade sector, and we are keen to develop the integrated business system in the emirate, to enable local companies to deal efficiently with global developments, thus enhancing their contribution to the process of sustainable economic development.”
For his part, Amarnani said: “Dubai continues to consolidate its position as a leading global destination for economic progress and societal harmony, and we affirm our complete confidence in the vision of the wise leadership, which has always contributed to enhancing the readiness and flexibility of the national economy in the face of various global challenges, so that it emerges stronger and more durable every time.”
He added: “Thanks to the combined efforts and integration of roles between all concerned parties, Dubai is moving forward in strengthening its leadership among the most vibrant and competitive global cities.”
The meeting with a group of textile merchants in Dubai falls within the framework of a series of expanded meetings organized by Dubai Chambers with the private sector and concerned parties to follow up on the reality of the business system in light of the current changes, anticipate the prospects of the next stage, and enhance effective mechanisms to support the readiness of all sectors to keep pace with global challenges. The chambers are also working to intensify joint work to keep pace with the current circumstances, closely identify the changing requirements of all sectors, and review the best ways to support companies, enhance their competitiveness and develop the conduct of their business efficiently and effectively.
Taking care of the interests of the business community is at the forefront of Dubai Chambers’ priorities, as part of its keenness to enhance the participation of the private sector and support the competitiveness of the emirate’s economy, by enhancing its role in developing regulatory frameworks and work mechanisms in various economic sectors.
