Syria – the first joint international mission to reach As -Suwayda

The members of the mission met with representatives of the local community and partners, visited displacement sites and reception centers. The team also conducted assessments in the three provinces in the governorate.
A fifth humanitarian convoy, organized by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, reached the endosperm today. The convoy included aid from the United Nations, and connected medical supplies, flour, fuel, canned, cleaning tools and shelters in addition to other aid.
This is the largest caravan that reaches the endosperm until now, as it included 40 trucks. Yesterday, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent delivered four tanks carrying more than 120,000 liters of fuel to the Suwayda Governorate.
It is noteworthy that the United Nations Special Envoy to Syria other than Pederson recently affirmed before the Security Council, the urgent need for fundamental corrections in the security path and the political transition in Syria in the wake of the violence witnessed by the province of As -Suwayda last month and resulted in “the fall of large numbers of victims, the drainage of confidence, and the increased risks of fragmentation.”
