169 billion dollars in the Middle East and North Africa spending on information technology in 2026

Dubai, August 4 / WAM / Gartner International Consulting and Research expected that the spending of the Middle East and North Africa region will reach information technology in 2026 to 169 billion US dollars, recording an increase of 8.9% over 2025.
Gartner, Vice President of Gartner, said that the Middle East and North Africa region continues its rapid rise as a global center for technology, as the Gulf Cooperation Council countries employs stability that enjoys advanced infrastructure and future policies with the aim of attracting global partners and building digital skills that drive innovation and support flexible economies enhanced by artificial intelligence.

The executive heads of information affairs in the region, even in light of the state of global economic and geopolitical uncertainty, pump strategic investments in the areas of artificial intelligence, smart automation, multiple cloud strategies, enhance cybersecurity, and develop skills.
Gartner suggests that spending on data centers systems will rise 37.3% in the Middle East and North Africa in 2026, which makes data centers systems the fastest growing sector in the field of information technology, but at a slower rate during the current year, in conjunction with the market transfer from rapid expansion to gradual and sustainable investment.

He explained that the largest part of this request will arise from governments, the great cloud service providers, technology providers, and institutions that focus on developing and publishing artificial intelligence models, not by traditional companies or consumers.
According to Gartner, it is expected to witness software spending in the Middle East and North Africa, an increase of 13.9% to reach $ 20.4 billion in 2026 in conjunction with the acceleration of the pace of institutions ’adoption of obstetric intelligence capabilities.
Gartner expects that 75% of global spending on software will be directed to solutions that include the characteristics of a generational intelligence by 2028.
