Khalifa University launches a Master of Science Multiple Disciplinary in Health Systems Management

Khalifa University of Science and Technology has announced today the launch of the Master of Science Master’s program in managing health systems as of the first academic semester 2025-2026, with the aim of helping new bachelor’s degrees and specialists in acquiring basic technical and administrative skills to achieve higher levels of responsibility in health care institutions in the public and private sectors.

The program will provide comprehensive experiences in systems thinking, data analysis, improvement, operational excellence and digital health and will focus on managing modern and developed health systems, using systems curricula and principles of management science.

In this program, students will acquire the necessary skills to take advantage of scientific and technical developments in the health care sector using advanced levels in the quality, efficiency and flexibility of services.

Dr. Bayan Sharif, the academic president, at Khalifa University said: “The Master’s program was designed to manage health systems at Khalifa University to support hospitals, government health departments and clinics, while helping them at the same time to develop and supervise policies and procedures that guarantee the smoothness of operations and quality of care, and experts of the academic body at the university are training students and assisting them in achieving higher levels of efficiency in these areas.

Graduates of the program will be prepared to coordinate systems and policies in a manner that is effective and play a role that exceeds the tasks of basic management and influencing positively in the quality of patient care and the total performance of health systems.

The Master’s program in health systems management includes a variety of optional academic subjects that focus on studying important aspects such as information, performance, quality, analyzes, improvement, politics and economics.

The program also contributes to providing students with planning and organization skills and monitoring care and services programs through a complete system.

These specialists support societies within the scope of health systems by ensuring the effective use of available budgets, resources and investments in programs and services.

Graduates of this program are expected to hold many important positions as a first business analyst, first development consultant, director of health systems and executive director of the program management, and through these positions they can ensure the management of various factors such as employment, budgets, record management, training, development and available care services, in line with both the needs of patients and financial resources for the institution.

Khalifa University is cooperating with many prestigious health institutions and ministries specialized in health care in Abu Dhabi and the UAE worldwide, which opens prospects for employment and practical training opportunities for students of this program.
