The UAE ambassador meets the Secretary General of the Caribbean Association to enhance the partnership

Port of Spin on August 7/ WAM/ His Excellency Hazza Al -Kaabi met the UAE’s ambassador to the Republic of Cuba, with His Excellency Nobeimi Espinoza Madrid, the newly appointed Secretary -General of the Caribbean Association, at the headquarters of the Association’s Secretariat, as part of an official visit by his happiness to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
This meeting affirmed the firm commitment of the UAE to enhance its relations with the countries of the Caribbean, and the state’s keenness to expand the prospects for cooperation in areas such as sustainable development and cultural exchange.
During the meeting, His Excellency Al -Kaabi pointed to the close relations that link the UAE with the Caribbean League, especially since it obtained an observer status in March 2017, considering this part of its broader commitment to support the priorities of development in the region.
His Excellency highlighted the common goals between the two sides, in preserving marine ecosystems, advancing sustainable tourism, building the ability to adapt to climate change, and enhance environmental sustainability.
The meeting comes within the framework of the role of the UAE as a partner of the Caribbean League, where His Excellency Al -Kaabi and His Excellency the General Secretary discussed joint initiatives, exchange programs and investments in clean energy, referring to previous efforts, such as the renewed energy fund between the UAE and the Caribbean region, which was launched in 2017.
