Abu Dhabi Energy Circle launches liquefied vertical cabinets in food installations

Abu Dhabi, August 7 / WAM / The Energy Department in Abu Dhabi announced the start of the implementation of the first LNG oil tank system “LPG” vertical in the emirate, dedicated to serving food establishments, in a qualitative step aimed at enhancing safety standards and improving the efficiency of gas supply operations.
The new system comes as an innovative and safer alternative to the use of traditional cylinders, as it depends on a vertical tank with a capacity of 125 gallons, equipped with gas evaporation according to the highest safety standards, and it is directly filled on the site through licensed operators without the need to store or circulate the cylinders.
This innovation contributes to reducing the risk of leakage and accidents, and simplifying operational operations, making it an ideal choice for facilities that seek a safer and sustainable work environment.
In this context, the department issued technical bulletin No. 1/2025, which shows technical requirements, safety standards and organizational requirements for the installation and operation of these tanks, in line with the standards of the American National Fire Protection “NFPA” and the UAE Code for Safety from Fire and Protection of Spirits.
Eng. Ahmed Al -Shaibani, Executive Director of the Organizational Affairs Sector for Petroleum Insolences, stressed that this initiative reflects the department’s commitment to protecting individuals and property and enhancing a safe and sustainable operational environment for the food establishments sector, indicating that the gas represents an essential element in the operating chains of this sector, and that the development of safer systems is a pivotal step towards achieving the goals of sustainability and public safety.
He added that the new system aims to build a safer and sustainable system, and allows the facilities to work with confidence and reliability and provide service to customers in line with best practices, pointing to the circle’s cooperation with the private sector operators to adopt and implement the system in accordance with the highest standards.
The Energy Department called on all food installations, especially those in areas where land gas networks or central gas systems are not available, to adopt this modern system, which provides a comprehensive and safe solution that meets the current and future regulatory requirements, enhances the safety of operations and reduces operational costs in the long run.
