"Million poet" The interview tours begin at the end of August
Abu Dhabi, August 7 / WAM / The Poet of the Million Program begins rounds of interviews of poets wishing to participate in its twelfth season at the end of August.
The tours start from the Saudi capital “Riyadh”, marking the start of a new stage of qualifiers to choose the elite of poets who are qualified for direct episodes of the program, which is the largest of its kind at the level of the Arab world in the field of Nabati poetry.
The jury had recently completed the sorting and evaluation of more than 1,200 posts from poets and poets representing 25 countries, after the end of the registration period that witnessed a wide turnout, which reflects the high status of the program with the Nabati poetry audience and his fans.
The rounds of direct and virtual interviews begin in a number of Gulf and Arab stations, all of which will be announced soon, and the conclusion of the rounds in Abu Dhabi will be.
The jury includes a group of the most prominent names in the Nabati Poetry Square and criticism, Dr. Sultan Al -Amimi, Dr. Ghassan Al -Hassan, and the poet Hamad Al -Saeed, along with the Consultative Committee, which includes Badr Safouq and Turki Al -Muraikhi.
During the tours, “golden cards” will be granted to a number of poets, cards that qualify them directly to the “100 Poet” list, who are undergoing editorial and oral tests, before choosing the best 48 participants to compete in live competitions that will be held at the Al -Raha Beach Theater in Abu Dhabi.
The “Poet of the Million” program, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority since 2006, is one of the most prominent cultural projects that seek to preserve the illicit literary heritage, and to enhance the presence of Nabati poetry in the contemporary cultural scene, by supporting poetic talents and enabling them to reach the Arab public.
The total value of the prizes presented in the twelfth season is more than 15 million dirhams. The first -place winner receives the title of “Poet of the Million”, and Baraq of Poetry, in addition to a financial prize of 5 million dirhams, while the winners of the second to sixth positions receive varying financial prizes.
