“DPDDDDDDD” enhances its logistical capabilities in the automotive sector

Dubai Ports World Group “DPDDRED” revealed a new square, with an area of 2.6 million square feet, in “Station 4” in Jebel Ali Port, which enhances its logistical capabilities in the automotive sector.
The group stated that this expansion contributes to providing a capacity of 13,000 vehicles, which raises the total storage capacity of the port to 75 thousand vehicles, and strengthens Dubai’s position as a pivotal center for car trade in the region.
“Dubai focuses on strengthening its position as a global auto trade center, and this expansion allows auto manufacturers, merchants and logistical service providers faster and more reliable in the main markets in the Middle East, Africa and other regions.
For his part, the first vice president, the ports and stations, “DB and the Gulf Cooperation Council states”, Shihab Al -Jasmi, said: “The expansion is an additional investment aimed at enhancing the service of customers, as the broader area, the fastest service, and reliable sidewalks are designed to support the growth of car supply chains.”
The expansion of the capacity of cars comes in the wake of the strong growth in the sizes of vehicle handling. In the first half of 2025, the port of Jebel Ali received 545 thousand vehicles, an increase of 28% on an annual basis, and imports constituted 65% of the total volume of rolling goods in the port, and mainly from China, Japan, Thailand, India and South Korea.
