“Abu Dhabi Environment” liberates a violation of the gathering of oysters without a statement from a natural reserve

The Environment Authority – Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police, seized a violation represented by gathering oysters without a legal permit from one of the marine reserves, within the framework of the commitment of the authority to protect maritime biological diversity

This violation is a clear violation of the Federal Law No. 23 of 1999, and it is punished with imprisonment for a period of no less than 6 months and/or a fine ranging between 50,000 and 100,000 dirhams, with the confiscation of the equipment used.

The authority emphasizes the importance of adhering to environmental legislation to preserve sensitive environmental systems and ensure their sustainability for future generations.
