The United Nations: Israel must be stopped planning military control over the Gaza Strip

In a statement, Turk said that the plan contradicts the decision of the International Court of Justice that Israel must end it to occupy it as soon as possible. It also contradicts the achievement of the agreed two -state solution, and with the right of the Palestinians to self -determination, according to the Human Rights Commissioner.
He explained that all the evidence so far indicates that this additional escalation will lead to more collective and murder, and the incredible suffering, futile destruction, and terrible crimes. He added: “The war must end in Gaza now. The Israelis and the Palestinians should be allowed to live alongside peace.”
Instead of intensifying this war, Turk said that the Israeli government should do its best to save the lives of civilians in Gaza by allowing the full and unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid. He also stressed that the Palestinian armed groups must release the hostages immediately, without restriction or condition, and the necessity of release the Palestinians arbitrary by Israel immediately and without registration or condition.
The highest monthly rate of malnutrition
In turn, the Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanum Gebrisus, warned that Gaza residents suffer from very limited access to basic services and food, while malnutrition is spread and deaths related to hunger increases.
He added: “In July, nearly 12,000 children under the age of five were monitored with acute malnutrition, the highest monthly number that is ever registered.”
He added in a post on X: “People in Gaza die from hunger and disease, as well as during their desperate pursuit of food. The ongoing siege must be ended.”
He affirmed the urgent need to introduce larger quantities of aid to rebuild vital reserves, calling for the protection of health workers, the release of all hostages, the ceasefire, and a permanent peace.
In statements to reporters on Thursday, the Director of the World Health Organization reported that 99 people have died due to malnutrition, so far this year, including 29 children under the age of five, adding that these numbers reported are likely to be less than real estimates.
Hunger is the new killer
In turn, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that before the siege and famine, the United Nations and its partners were supporting two million people throughout the Gaza Strip by distributing aid through the local community.
The UN agency stated in a post on X that after five months it became “Hunger is the new killer”Noting that four military distribution points cannot replace a coordinated humanitarian response. She stressed the need to allow the United Nations, including UNRWA, and its partners to do their work. She stressed the need to stop the shooting.
The humanitarian situation in the West Bank
Regarding the humanitarian situation in the West Bank, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that more than 80% of the 168 Palestinians who were killed by the Israeli forces in the West Bank so far from 2025 have been in the northern West Bank, including 60 people in Jenin Governorate.
The UN office stated that Israeli settlers shot a Palestinian man and killed him in Nablus, and carried out about 40 attacks on 27 residential gatherings across the West Bank, some of which included burns, which resulted in widespread damage to homes and other properties.
According to the office of Otha, about 27 Palestinians were displaced, including 13 children, forcibly from the wild area of Kisan in Bethlehem due to the escalation of Israeli settlers’ violence; More than 120 people from the same area have been displaced in less than two weeks.
He added that the risk of demolishing multi -storey buildings in East Jerusalem puts 29 Palestinian families under an imminent danger of displacement. The Humanitarian Coordination Office stated that it documented the demolition of 43 facilities owned by Palestinians throughout the West Bank due to the lack of construction permits issued by Israel.
