Trump exempt gold from additional customs duties

Washington on August 11 / WAM / US President Donald Trump confirmed today that the United States’ imports of gold will not be subject to additional knowledge, days after the American customs announced that some alloys were covered by new drawings.

Trump said on “Truth Soshal”: “It will not be imposed on gold,” without giving further details.

Trump’s announcement came after the American customs issued a message saying that gold bars of two kilograms and one hundred ounces (2.8 kg) will be subject to identification, which led to the rise in gold prices to record levels last Friday in the futures market in America.
