Urgent: The Museums Authority excludes people with disabilities and their companions from entry fees for its assets


The Ministry of Culture is excluded represented by today, and their companions, from the fees for entering all temporary exhibitions, the accompanying programs and their cultural origins, given the cultural and knowledge value of these events and museums, and in line with international practices adopted in cultural institutions." With the Persons with Disabilities Care on 9/8/2024 AD, with the aim of setting joint policies and strategies to empower persons with disabilities in various fields related to museums, and ensuring that they obtain their rights, as well as work to enhance and develop the services provided by the authorities, and to ensure a decent life that enables them to participate comprehensive and active in society. The Museums and Temporary Exhibitions Authority and its cultural origins in a vital role in presenting culture, history and art, as they are platforms to enhance the national identity, and from this standpoint the importance of the inclusion of persons with disabilities in these events is not only visited visitors, but active participants in the cultural movement. In interaction with culture and art without discrimination, which contributes to enabling them to participate in enriching cultural content and transferring their experiences, in addition to preparing exhibitions to be facilitated for everyone such as: the presence of slopes, explanations in sign language, audio evidence, and a translation of Braille, in a way that reflects the professionalism of the organization and its interest in all groups of society. The temporary is unique educational experiences that enrich the cognitive aspect of persons with disabilities, develop their curiosity and love for exploration and learning, stimulating their creative and technical capabilities, and gives them an opportunity to express themselves through art and culture, in addition to their own interactive spaces, sensory tools, and educational programs designed to meet their individual needs.
