Tokyo, August 15 / WAM / A delegation from the “Sharjah Book Authority” headed by Khawla Al -Mujini, CEO of the “Sharjah Animation Conference” concluded a visit to Japan, as part of the efforts of the authority aimed at strengthening international partnerships and expanding the prospects for cooperation in preparation for the convening of the 2026 session of the conference, which establishes its position a leading global platform in the animation industry.

During the visit, the delegation held a series of high -level meetings with a group of the most prominent animation companies and the role of the Japanese manga publishing, which included “Nippon”, “Oh” and “Toy”, along with “Kodancha”, “Shigakkuan”, media institutions and entertainment groups, including “Cadokawa” and “Bandy Namco”.

During the visit, the delegation of the commission discussed the opportunities for cooperation in the field of producing animated fees that suit Arab culture, and enhance the knowledge exchange between Sharjah and Japan.

Khawla Al -Mujini stressed that the visit is an important step towards building a sustainable system for the animation industry in Sharjah, explaining that the conference constitutes a university platform for international creators and regional talents and aims to develop innovative content that reflects the identity of the region and benefits from global experiences.

She added that Sharjah has established during the past years its position in a strategic gateway for creative industries, and today it opens the way for Japanese institutions to enter Arab markets through the conference, in order to enhance the role of the emirate as a fundamental contributor to the global cultural and creative scene.

The visit also included a meeting with Alpha Code, which specializes in creative technology, during which the two parties discussed ways to develop digital narrative tools and enhance the audience’s experience through interaction and innovation, including rating applications and interactive media within the content of the conference.

On the other hand, the delegation discussed the prospects for cooperation with the company “Wakum”, the world leader in digital drawing techniques, to launch training programs and workshops targeting young talented, and providing them with advanced educational platforms and opportunities to communicate with international industry experts.
