The Emirati rescue team continues its efforts to put out the fires of Albania for the fifth consecutive day
Tirana on August 16 / WAM / The Emirati Salvation Team continues for the fifth consecutive day, its efforts to extinguish the firefights of the forests in several areas in Albania, in coordination with the local authorities.
The team is intensifying its field operations, which come within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, using the latest equipment to monitor and ensure control sites and prevent their renewal, despite the challenges imposed by high temperatures and the difficult terrain.
The UAE has begun its operations to extinguish fires since last Monday with the arrival of joint aircraft and the specialized team, which during the past days carried out 15 sorties using more than 600 thousand kilograms of water in the various areas where the fires erupt, which contributes to reducing the extension of the fires and reaching the population areas.
