“Diwa” and “Microsoft Emirates” are looking to cooperate in digital transformation and innovation

The Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority “Dua”, Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, received yesterday the General Manager of Microsoft Emirates, Amr Kamel.

The two sides discussed the main building of the commission, ways to enhance joint cooperation to benefit from the latest technologies in order to accelerate the pace of digital transformation, establish innovation, and support the sustainable development goals in Dubai. The two sides also explore the prospects for integration between the initiatives of the entrepreneurial body in the smart infrastructure, renewable energy and services, and the global experience of “Microsoft” in the areas of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data and cybersecurity analyzes. The two sides affirmed their joint commitment to investing the techniques of the fourth industrial revolution.

Al -Tayer stressed the commitment of the commission to consolidate innovation, in line with the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him. He pointed to the authority’s keenness to consolidate the bonds of strategic partnerships with global technology pioneers, such as “Microsoft”, to ensure the authority’s preservation of its position in the forefront of service institutions in digital transformation, pointing out that cooperation with Microsoft is an essential pillar in the authority’s march, to make it the first service institution based on artificial intelligence globally, by employing artificial intelligence in all its main operations.

For his part, the Director General of Microsoft, Amr Kamel, highlighted the commitment of “Microsoft” to support national institutions in the UAE, saying: “The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is a leading model in adopting innovation to provide sustainable services.
