President of the Arab Parliament: The Emirates is a leading global model in human giving
Cairo, August 19/ WAM/ His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmed Al -Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, praised the pioneering humanitarian efforts undertaken by the United Arab Emirates led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, which established firm pillars of the sustainability of humanitarian work, and made it at the forefront of its strategic priorities, in recognition of the importance of enhancing the values of human solidarity at the regional and international levels UAE as an essential pillar and a leading global model in global humanitarian service.
His Excellency stressed, in a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Humanitarian Action, that the experience of the UAE represents a leading global model in the field of humanitarian and relief giving, as its initiatives and aid extended to include various countries of the world without discrimination, which reflects the originality of its values and principles derived from its history and its Arab and Islamic heritage.
He explained that these blessed efforts are an extension of an ancient human heritage that laid the foundations of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, which made humanitarian giving an original pillar in building the UAE, so that its rational leadership today continues this approach with greater effectiveness, embodied the meaning of leadership in global humanitarian work.
The President of the Arab Parliament stressed that the UAE, thanks to these humanitarian efforts, assumed an advanced position among the largest international donors for humanitarian and development aid, pointing out that its initiatives are not limited to immediate relief in times of crisis and disasters, but also include sustainable development projects in the areas of health, education and infrastructure.
