5 walking tracks in Dubai linking the main landmarks to residential societies

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has made five major walking paths in Dubai, which links the main landmarks and vital societies, whether for entertainment or fitness, stressing that these paths “provide a refreshing way to explore the city on foot.”

The authority stated through its website, that the tracks are characterized by being “stunning”, and linking neighboring landmarks and residential societies, and the first of these tracks extends from Burj Al Arab to Burj Khalifa, for a distance of 16 kilometers in one direction, while the second track is in Nakhleh Jumeirah over 11.5 km in one direction.

The third track from Dubai Marina also extends to “Blu Water” at a distance of 10 kilometers in a closed circle, while the fourth comes in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers area at a distance of seven kilometers in a closed circle as well, and finally the longest tracks of Ras Al -Khor Reserve for Wildlife to Dubai Marina, and extends 27 kilometers in one direction.

The authority confirmed that it provided various options to move through these tracks, including generous bikes and electric shots, as they are available on all tracks except for the Jumeirah palm trees.

This comes as the authority provides a network of bicycle paths in the Emirate of Dubai, linking the residential areas to the attractions and public transportation stations, where the lengths of the bicycle paths in the Emirate of Dubai increased from 9 km in 2006 to 560 km until the middle of this year.

The Roads and Transport Authority confirmed to «Emirates Today» that it is working to provide paths for bicycles in different locations in the Emirate of Dubai according to a systematic strategy, where a number of them are implemented annually to achieve the goals of the authority in leadership with a sustainable easy movement and shift to a friendly city of bicycles, and the authority is currently implementing bicycle paths with different locations in the Emirate of Dubai, the most important of which is a path of bicycle bicycles The Al -Warqa area connects to the Si -Salam area, a path that connects the Al -Khawaneej area to the Al -Mamzar area, and a path along the Hessa Street linking the Al -Safouh area to the Dubai Hills region and with a total of about 100 km.

The authority has set a comprehensive plan for bicycle paths in the Emirate of Dubai, which includes future sites for the implementation of the paths gradually annually, and plans also include improving infrastructure, providing requirements for transportation integration, including bike paths of all kinds, within the framework of the flexible movement in residential areas, and the improvement plan on public transport stations, and the authority works to update its plans periodically, to keep pace with the emirate strategies Dubai and Dubai Urban Plan 2040, ensuring the continuity of the network development, and achieving the goal of reaching more than 1000 km of tracks by 2030.
