The old “mouse” devices behind the arbitration controversy in the Al Ain and Al Qadatah match

The former international referee in football, Abdullah Al -Aji, confirmed that despite the arbitration errors, the controversy that accompanied the arbitration decisions in the first round of the ADNOC Professional League, especially at the level of the Al Ain and Al -Batal match, as well as the Al -Ahly and Al -Dhafra youth match, there were no effective arbitration decisions in the results of the matches, stressing that the controversy that occurred between Al Ain Club and the Football Association, against the background of the arbitration decisions that accompanied the Al Ain match and the regulations, is not due Arbitration decisions, but only one thing, which is the lack of modern devices for video rule technology (mouse), considering that this existing technology is old, and it must be changed with higher quality and more efficient quality devices, in order to help the referees in managing matches, stressing that this old technology, if it continues, will put the stadium judges under great psychological pressure, and the sports street will lose confidence in the arbitration decisions, stressing that such matters cannot bear, Noting at the same time that there are not enough cameras on the field in this regard.

Abdullah Al -Aji told «Emirates Today», that “the problem that occurred in the Al Ain and Al -Battal match is that the cameras for virtue of the video on the stadium were few, especially in terms of dealing with infiltration cases, so that the video ruling was forced to make manual lines, but the dimensions of these lines were wrong, because the angle of infiltration was also wrong, knowing that the new technology for videos in major periodicals has a three -dimensional corner, and the ruling gives a three -dimensional image.”

He added, “The solution is clear regarding the issue of the controversy that accompanied the arbitration decisions in the first round of the league, which is the need to use modern devices and cameras, especially in terms of video referee technology.

He added, “Including modern devices for video referee technology will reduce the controversy over arbitration decisions, and will help referees in many matters for matches management, especially in terms of speed and accuracy of decision -making, as well as in the process of placing the lines on the field, but the current cameras used on the stadium are not sufficient, besides that they are not in high quality.”

Al-Aji continued: «With regard to the arbitration decisions that accompanied the first round, it is at the level of the Al-Ahly and Al-Dhafra youth match, from my point of view, the goal in the match by the referee, in the 55th minute, was true, because it was not in it to block a vision of the goalkeeper, so the referee was supposed to calculate the goal, but in general this decision did not affect the result of the match, because Al-Ahly youth was a 2-0 winner.

The Al-Ain match and the regulations that ended with Al Ain winning 2-1 had witnessed the cancellation of three goals for the team, two of which are offside, scored by Togolese Laba Kudjo in the 5 and 60th minutes, and the cancellation of a third goal for the eye (61), scored by Moroccan professional Naseem Al-Shazly, due to a hand touch to his colleague Eric in the penalty area of his team, and in return the match referee calculated a penalty kick for the regulations, scored from him Janif, the equalizer for his team, before Al Ain scored the second goal.

The Al Ain Club had issued a statement, in which he criticized the refereeing decisions that accompanied its team’s match against Al -Battah in the first round, while the Football Association replied with a press statement, during which he announced its complete rejection of any doubts about the integrity and efficiency of the employees of the Emirati arbitration sector, which achieves great successes, locally, continental and international, expressing at the same time his strong dissatisfaction with the uninterrupted criticism of the Commitment to mathematical values, principles of respect, and lack of detracting the work of others, calling on the Al Ain Club not to be busy with what he described as things that do not mean. The Football Association announced the start of taking the necessary legal measures towards Al -Ain Club, and it will carry out a firm legal action against all those who reduce its work or the performance of its affiliates inappropriately, but Al -Ain Club also responded to the Football Association with another statement, during which he announced its condemnation of the statement issued against him from the Football Association, and he confirmed referring the issue to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures to ensure the preservation of the club’s rights and its affiliates.
