The National Media Office refers a group of social media users to the Public Prosecution

Abu Dhabi, August 26/ WAM/ The National Media Office referred a group of social media users to the Federal Public Prosecution, as a result of violating media content standards through these platforms.
The office affirmed that the monitoring team is working around the clock, to determine any excesses accurately, alert users of these platforms to their violations, and invite them to adhere to the laws and laws so that they do not expose themselves to legal accountability.
The office stressed that such measures come in the context of ensuring a responsible media environment, and protecting our societies from non -purposeful content, calling on everyone to use social media in a way that takes into account media values and ethics.
The National Media Office had issued a statement last March, in which it stressed the importance of the commitment of all social media users in the country to the values and principles that reflect the state’s policies and approach based on respect, tolerance and coexistence.
The statement also stressed that the office, in cooperation with the concerned authorities, will take the necessary legal measures against anyone who violates these directives, in accordance with the laws in force in the state, which aims to preserve a safe and balanced digital environment that enhances the climate of mutual respect.
