The Emirati rescue team continues its efforts to contain forest fires in Albania

The Emirati rescue team continues its efforts to put out the widespread forest fires in several regions of the Republic of Albania.
Since its arrival in the Republic of Albania, the team has carried out 27 specialized sorties using two Black Hawk aircraft. The fire extinguishing operations included 680 accurate water offspring operations on the foci of fire, during which it used more than 1261 tons of water, which contributed greatly to containing and reducing its spread.
These qualitative efforts come despite the great field challenges faced by the team, which are the high rise in temperatures and the rugged geographical nature of the affected areas, and the operations are carried out in close cooperation and continuous coordination with the competent Albanian authorities.
The team had started its duties in the areas of the Gramash and Balouli forests, the coastal and other regions of Flourah, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to support the Republic of Albania in controlling forest fires.
Coordination meetings continue between the Emirati team and officials in Albania, to develop the necessary plans that guarantee the speed of firefighting operations, in conjunction with the continuous field monitoring of the areas where fire was extinguished to prevent their renewal.
