The majority of Emirati female employees work from 5 to 20 years

The Acting Executive Director of the Future Resources Sector, and the Director of Policy and Programs Support in the Human Resources Department of the Dubai Government, Amna Al -Suwaidi, revealed that the majority of Emirati female employees work in the Dubai government for periods of 5 and 20 years, which reflects their commitment and the continuation of their giving in various vital government sectors and the extent of the great support provided to them in the work environment.
She reviewed during a session entitled “The Human and Government Resources House in Supporting Working Women” within the Emirati Women Forum, the department’s efforts to empower women and provide an attractive work environment that supports their job stability and their family, noting that these efforts are based on the belief of the Dubai government of the importance of investing in women’s competencies and enhancing their role in sustainable development.
She indicated that the percentage of the workforce of the women’s component of Emirati women at the level of the Dubai government is 41%, noting that Emirati women constitute the largest percentage of holders of scientific qualifications compared to their colleagues working in the government by 81%, while the percentage of women’s work distribution according to nationality and within the supervisory categories and within the degree 15 and the highest 40% of them, including 35% of the Emirati.
She emphasized the great support that the Dubai government attaches to Emirati female employees, as married Emirati women constitute the largest percentage by 64%, while the percentage of unmarried female employees is 35%, which confirms the ability of women to balance their family and professional role.
She pointed out that the rate of happiness of the female component at the level of the Dubai government reached 83% by the end of 2024, thanks to leading initiatives such as equality in wages, flexible work, and the “Flexible Summer” initiative, in addition to the leaves that take into account the needs of working women.
