The President and Prime Minister of India discuss enhancing cooperation within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work within the framework of historical relations, the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” and the “Comprehensive Economic Partnership” that brings together the UAE and India.

This came during the session of talks that His Highness held with the Indian Prime Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office as part of his working visit to India. At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness congratulated the Prime Minister on “Republic Day,” which falls on the 26th of January, wishing India and its people further progress and development.

His Highness and Narendra Modi reviewed the qualitative and strategic development achieved in the relations of the two countries, especially in the economic, investment and development fields, space, renewable energy and food security, in addition to technology, artificial intelligence and other fields that serve their visions and aspirations towards development and sustainable economic prosperity.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuous meetings between the two sides, which embody the specificity of their relations and their common keenness to expand the base of their mutual interests at all levels.

During the meeting, His Highness and the Prime Minister of India also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and developments of common interest, noting in this context the importance of the existing partnership between the UAE and India in many areas of international multilateral action that aims to enhance cooperation and development in the world, based on their belief in the importance of international collective action in promoting stability and prosperity in the world and creating a better life for all its people.

In this context, His Highness the President of the State said that the two countries share a common vision towards investing in all available cooperation opportunities, especially in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence and its many opportunities and promising potentials for a more prosperous future for their people.

His Highness also stressed that the UAE supports everything that would achieve peace in South Asia, based on its established approach to resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic solutions in a way that guarantees the interest of everyone.

His Highness expressed his wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for success in leading the BRICS group for the year 2026 for the benefit of the group’s countries, development and prosperity in the world.

His Highness also wished success for the “India Summit on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence 2026,” which India will host next February, and to produce results that enhance the role of artificial intelligence in serving development in the world.

The meeting was attended by the delegation accompanying His Highness the President, which includes His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al. Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State, and a number of ministers and senior state officials.

His Highness the President left at the conclusion of his visit to the Republic of India.
