Mohammed bin Rashid visits the “World of Coffee Dubai” exhibition and reviews some of the international and local participations

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, visited the World of Coffee Dubai 2026 exhibition, the fifth edition of which kicked off yesterday, Sunday, at the Dubai World Trade Center, and its activities will continue until January 20.

During the visit in which he was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on a number of international and local pavilions participating in the exhibition, where he saw a wide range of exhibits displaying coffee processing, roasting and preparation equipment, covering the various stages of the value chain, from cultivation and production all the way to distribution. and consumer markets.

During the visit, His Highness listened to an explanation from His Excellency Helal Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai World Trade Center Authority, about the details of the fifth edition of the exhibition organized by “DXB Live”, the arm providing integrated event organization and management services at the Dubai World Trade Centre, in cooperation with the Specialty Coffee Association “SCA”. The exhibition brings together more than 2,100 companies and brands exhibiting from 78 countries, within the largest and most diverse edition in terms of international participation since its launch.

His Highness also followed an explanation given by Khalid Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President of DXB Live, about the development achieved by the World of Coffee Dubai exhibition over the past sessions, leading to the fifth session. Since its launch, the exhibition has witnessed a remarkable expansion in terms of size and international participation, transforming from a regional platform into a recognized global forum for the specialty coffee industry. The 2026 edition extends over an area of ​​more than 20,000 square meters, reflecting sustainable growth driven by high demand in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The exhibition derives its importance from the fact that coffee is among the most traded commodities in the world, and a major component of global value chains, as the circle of components of this sector expands to include farmers, producers, traders, and entrepreneurs in the production and consumption markets, as specialized international exhibitions represent an important window to strengthen trade relations, facilitate access to markets, and support sustainable economic growth, in addition to the opportunities for success and development that this growing industry provides for emerging, small and medium enterprises, a sector that receives all the attention and encouragement in the UAE.

The World of Coffee Dubai 2026 exhibition reflects the growing global interest in coffee and its various products, in addition to Dubai’s pivotal role as a center that connects production countries with international buyers and manufacturers, and brings together an elite group of producers, manufacturers of equipment and supplies involved in the industry, roasters and traders from established brands and emerging markets alike. The event includes three live coffee auctions, international tournaments, workshops and educational programs, as well as extensive opportunities for trade and professional relationship building.

It is noteworthy that Statista.com, which specializes in the field of market statistics, indicated that the size of the total coffee market in the world may reach $495.7 billion during the year 2026.
