The conclusion of the work of the Egyptian Supreme Supreme Committee
Cairo, August 28 /WAM /The works of the sixth session of the Egyptian -Qatari Supreme Supreme Committee, headed by Dr. Badr Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians abroad, and Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, with the participation of high -level delegations from both sides.
The course witnessed the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding in the fields of social insurance, pensions, agriculture and food security, and the establishment of a mechanism of political consultations between the two foreign ministries of the two countries, reflecting the commitment of Cairo and Doha to expand bilateral cooperation.
After the meeting, the Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed that the committee’s convening reflects the strength of bilateral relations and the trend towards a new stage of strategic cooperation, with a focus on strengthening Qatari investments in the areas of transportation and logistics, food security, new and renewable energy, tourism, and urban development, in addition to forming an Egyptian Qatari business council to support economic partnerships.
The meetings witnessed the development of developments in the Palestinian territories, where the two sides stressed the importance of joint efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, while discussing the American proposal presented through the envoy Steve Witkev, and condemning the continued Israeli aggression and settlement expansion in the West Bank.
